The concept
During the winter semester in 2021 the exam in Interaction Design 3 was to design an application focused around one or more of the UN' sustainability goals. The group designed a simple app that allows the user to select an interval where they want to stop shopping. They can also give reasons why they want to quit shopping and approximately how much they spend on shopping during a month. In this way, the user can receive push notifications tailored to their needs. We used elements of gamification and a points system to motivate the user. The app also contain functionality where users can be informed about why it is good to cut their consumption according to the climate and the UN's sustainability goals. All based on research, prototyping, usability testing and design according to design principles.
Core features
Choose period of quitting shopping
How much money the user has saved
How much CO2 saved from not shopping
Trophies and statistics
Informative content
The process
When I joined the team they had already done market research and found a need for an application like this. Based on this I started the design process with creating a persona representative for the end users.
